Resolve "Naiad inits are great candidates for Custom Events"

Before accepting this merge request, this branch should include:

• New custom events documented in custom events.txt
  • an example would be great in the docs!
• Nicely named Custom Event argument names & doc comment
• A single "change"
• Web Export
